PTA FUN RUN 2018

REGISTRATION OPENS AT 1.00PM AND CLOSES AT 1.45PM
APPLESHAW ST. PETERS PRIMARY SCHOOL, RAGGED APPLESHAW,
NR. ANDOVER SP11 9HR
 
Entry in advance = £13 for the 10k race, £11 for the 5k race, £5 for the 1k race.  
Entry on the day = £15 for the 10k race, £13 for the 5k race, £5 for the 1k race.
Payment can be made online by paypal or credit/debit card.
Participants must be 12 years and older for the 10k race.
Participants must be 7 years and older for the 5k race.  All entrants under the age of 16 yrs, whether in the 10k or 5k event, MUST be accompanied by an adult on the route at all times.
Participants must be 4 - 11 yrs for the 1k race.  Adults may accompany children if required but do not need to register.
Participants must be 2 - 4 yrs for the pre-school race - for which there is no charge.
 
Parking:
All vehicles should park in Randall Parker Foods' car park as directed by marshals.  Click here for a map showing the location.
Please do not park on the road between the school and Randall Parker Foods.
 
Timings:
Registration opens at 1.00 pm and will close promptly at 1.45pm.  Upon arrival, please make your way to the registration desks to collect your race number.
A bag drop is avaialble but please note this is unsupervised, so all items are left at your own risk.
The 10k and 5k races will start from 2.00 pm. Please would ‘runners’ make their way to the front of the group, ‘joggers’ stay in the middle of the pack and ‘walkers’ start near the back.  
The childrens 1k race will take place after the 10k and 5k races have finished, so that adults can watch their children take part.
 
Route:
The 10k and 5k routes are multi-terrain loops incorporating local footpaths, tracks, fields and road sections.   Please follow all instructions given by the marshals, especially on the road sections.  The marshals are there to ensure your safety - if they ask to you to stop due to oncoming traffic please do so.  The marshals will not be stopping traffic - only runners.
Marshals will be present at each and every gate on route.  If however a marshal is called away to deal with an incident, please close any unmanned gate behind the last runner as you pass through.
HEADPHONES ARE NOT PERMITTED ON EITHER ROUTE.
 
WARNING: These are multi-terrain cross-country routes and as such, the terrain is uneven, muddy in places and in the event of bad weather, some areas may be slippery.  All entrants should wear appropriate footwear with laces securely tied and take care at all times, following warning signs and markers and following any instructions given by marshals.
 
The 1k takes place around a field with a short section of road.  Adults may run with their children if required, but there is no need to register separately for this.  Please follow all instructions given by the marshals, especially on the road sections. 
 
Facilities:
  •  Toilets will be available in the school building.
  •  First aid is available at the finish line and also out on the course.
  • There will be water stations on both the  5k and 10k routes.
  • Water and refreshments will also be available at the finish line.
  • Refreshments including drinks and a BBQ will be available at the school post-race, with all money going to the Appleshaw St Peters School PTA.
 
Prizes:
Prizes for winners.
Medals available for all finishers.
 
Results:
Results will be emailed to competitors within 48 hours.
