We use SCRATCH in Key Stage 2 as our programming software.  Version 1.4 can be downloaded for free here:  http://scratch.mit.edu/scratch_1.4/ Additionally there is a SCRATCH 2.0 offline editor which is also free to download: http://scratch.mit.edu/scratch2download/

You can find out more about SCRATCH here: http://scratch.mit.edu/parents/  If you are really interested in programming you might want to talk to your parents about creating an account at the SCRATCH website.

Alternatively you can 'try it out' and then download your scratch file to your computer at home. This means that you can upload it at a later date. If you are one of the children who worked on a chromebook at school and saved your file to your drive then you will need to download that file to your computer at home befoe you upload it to the scratch website.
